South Point 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Series begins the 10-race postseason tonight with the running of the South Point 400 in Las Vegas. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is the slight favorite today, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (5/1), Kevin Harvick (5/1) and Joey Logano (6/1). The South Point 400 is set to take place tonight at 7PM ET from Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
52101 Kyle Busch 9/2
It’s playoff time, so Kyle Busch needs to reset and get back to winning races. It has been a few months since that has happened, so he has to be feeling hungry for a victory. Busch comes into tonight’s race with one win at Las Vegas, an average finish of 12.3 at the track and a driver rating of 103.7 there. He has consistently put himself in position to win at Vegas and needs a win to get his playoff run started tonight.
52102 Brad Keselowski 5/1
Of the drivers in the playoffs, no man has won more at Las Vegas than Keselowski. He is a three-time winner at Las Vegas over 12 races. His average finish at the track is 12.3, while his driver rating is 96.1. Keselowski won this race last year to get his playoffs off to a good start and I think he can do the same tonight.
52107 Kyle Larson 12/1
Kyle Larson is a driver that starts the postseason in 11th position, so he is right near that first-four cutline. Larson needs a strong run tonight to get the postseason going. He has had some success at Vegas as well, finishing runner-up last season. His driver rating at Las Vegas is 93.3, that is one of the better ratings in the field tonight. Given his need to perform well, along with his odds, I think Larson has some very good value tonight.
