Updated Sprint Cup Title Odds
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is down to its final eight drivers in the Playoffs. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the 2016 Sprint Cup Championship.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win the title, as he has +250 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson (+400), Joey Logano (+400) and Kyle Busch (+400). These eight drivers compete in the next three races before the field is cut down to the top 4 remaining drivers, who will contend for the title in a winner-take-all-race on Nov. 20 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Harvick has won four times this year and has a series-best 15 top-5 finishes. Harvick also won the Sprint Cup in 2014, the first year of this Playoff format. He finished in the top 3 in three of the last four races of the season the last two years.
Johnson has three wins on the year with 9 top-5 finishes. Johnson is a six-time Sprint Cup champion and he has won at Texas four straight years, which is the second of three races in the last stage before the final cut.
Logano has two wins this year with 13 top-5 finishes. He has never won the Sprint Cup title, as these last four tracks of Martinsville, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead haven’t been his best.
Busch has four wins in 2016 to go with 14 top-5 finishes. He is the defending Sprint Cup champion, as he finished in the top 5 in the last four races of 2015, including a win at Homestead.
