Samsung 500 Odds to Win
Dale Earnhardt Jr. may of won the pole for Sunday’s 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Samsung 500 from Texas Motor Speedway but he isn’t the favorite to win it according to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog.
Earnhardt Jr. is listed at 5/1 odds to win for Sunday’s race behind Roush-Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards who is the favorite at 4/1. Edwards and his Roush-Fenway teammate Matt Kenseth who is listed at 8/1 odds to win the 2008 Samsung 500 have a very successful record at mile and half tracks that share this type of configuration.

Being the underdog is just fine though with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his fans dubbed "Junior Nation" by the media who will enjoy an extra $100 return should be manage to beat Edwards Sunday.
In a very unusual move by Bodog Oddsmakers this weekend all 43 drivers who will start Sunday’s Samsung 500 are listed with odds to win. Generally only the top 35 drivers or so are given odds to win and the remaining competitors are lumped into what is called the "Field" bet. Not so this week as even Super-Flippin rookie Michael McDowell is listed with odds to win. McDowell who had an incredible crash in qualifying is listed at 200/1 according to Bodog Oddsmakers.
