Subway Fresh Fit Odds
Even though he will be sitting on the pole for this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup 2008 Subway Fresh Fit 500 from Phoenix International Raceway, Ryan Newman is anything but a favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog.
Despite turning the fastest lap in Thursday nights NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying session, Bodog Oddsmakers say 11 other drivers have a better chance to win than Newman.

Last week’s pole sitter and eventual race winner Carl Edwards once again finds himself as the favorite heading into the race according to Bodog oddsmakers. Edwards starts third for this Saturday’s Fresh Fit 500. Edwards is currently listed at 5.5/1, a winning wager on Edwards would pay bettors $550 for every $100 wagered. Carl Edwards has two NASCAR Sprint Cup wins in 2008.
For the second week in a row Bodog oddsmakers have placed odds to win on all 43 drivers who will start this weekend’s race eliminating the “Field” bet. This is a quite unusual bookmaking tactic and Bodog is one of the few sports books to offer paying odds on every single driver.
Four drivers in the 2008 Subway Fresh Fit 500 could be considered long shots. Johnny Sauter, Bill Elliot, Joe Nemechek and Dario Franchitti are all listed at 200/1.
