Citizen Soldier 400 Picks

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series concludes its first round of the Chase today with the Citizen Soldier 400. Here are some drivers we like for this NASCAR race.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kevin Harvick is favored to win, as he has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win this race are Jimmie Johnson (13/2), Martin Truex Jr. (7/1) and Matt Kenseth (7/1). The Citizen Solider 400 takes place today from Dover International Speedway at 2:15PM ET.

Bet on the Citizen Soldier 400

Jimmie Johnson isn’t in real danger of missing the cut for the next stage of the Chase, but he isn’t in the clear. He comes to a track that he has dominated though, winning 10 times in his career. His average finish at this track is 9.6, while his driver rating is 118.1, which is the best in the field by quite a bit. Look for Johnson to make a strong push for win No. 11 today.

Matt Kenseth is also pretty safe to make the next stage, but a win would lock it up. He is a three-time winner at Dover with an average finish of 13.0. His driver rating there is 108.5, which is second only to Johnson for today’s contenders. Kenseth has the ability to win this one and he could use the momentum going into the next stage.

Kyle Larson has 8/1 odds for today’s race. He sits right on the cut line in 12th place, so he can’t afford a bad day today. He has been pretty strong in his five races at Dover, posting an average finish of 6.2 and a driver rating of 99.3. While he doesn’t have a win at this track, he knows how to get to the front of the pack. From there, he just needs a little luck.
