The second stage of the Chase concludes today with the Hellmann’s 500. Here are some drivers we like to contend for today’s victory.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Brad Keselowski is favored to win this race, as he has 11/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Denny Hamlin (8/1), while four others are listed with 12/1 odds. The Hellmann’s 500 takes place today at 2:30PM ET from Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, AL.
Brad Keselowski needs a great performance today, as he sits 11th in the standings. He needs to jump up to at least eighth or win the race to advance to the next stage. He comes to a great race for that to happen, as he is a four-time winner at Talladega. His average finish at the track is 13.9, while his driver rating of 87.1. Look for Keselowski to have a great run today.
Joey Logano also is in need of a big showing today, as he sits right on the cut line of eighth in the standings. He has 14/1 odds to win today and he is a former winner at Talladega, with a driver rating of 81.9. His average finish at the track is 19.9. Logano is coming off a third-place finish last week and he has finished in the top 10 in eight of his last 10 races. Look for another good run today.
Chase Elliott also has 14/1 odds to win today. He basically needs a win today. He is 25 points out of eighth place right now. He has raced just one time at Talladega, which was a solid showing this spring. He won the pole and ended up in fifth place. Knowing how desperate he is to get the win, he has some solid value at 14/1.
