Fred’s 250 Picks

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series opens up the racing weekend today with the Fred’s 250. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the win.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Johnny Sauter is favored to win this race, as he has 5/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Timothy Peters (11/2), Matt Crafton (13/2) and William Byron (13/2). The Fred’s 250 takes place on Saturday at 1:22PM ET from Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, AL.

Bet on the Fred’s 250

William Byron has been the top regular in the Truck Series this year and I suspect he will have another strong race today. He has six wins on the year and has finished in the top 5 in five of the last seven races. Today is a good chance to bet on him with longer odds than he usually has.

Timothy Peters is the two-time defending champion of this race, so he knows what he is doing on the fast track of Talladega. While he has yet to pick up a win in the 2016 season, he has finished in the top 5 on five occasions. Look for him to have one of his best runs this year.

Tyler Reddick has 8/1 odds to win this race, but we think he has some value. He finished fifth in this race a year ago and now he is coming off a win in the last truck race. He has six top-5 finishes on the year, including the last two races. He should be a top contender again today.
