Chicagoland 225 Picks
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series waves the green flag for the Chicagoland 225 tonight. Here’s some drivers we like for tonight’s race.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Christopher Bell is favored to win this race, as he is getting +110 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Johnny Sauter (+350), Matt Crafton (5/1) and John Hunter Nemechek (7/1). The Chicagoland 225 takes place tonight at 8:30PM ET from Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.
Christopher Bell has been the most consistent truck series regular in 2017 and he is favored tonight for good reason. He finished fourth at this track a year ago and has four victories in the 2017 season. Along with those wins, he has five other top-5 finishes. Bell should be the man to beat with this race being limited to mostly truck regulars.
Johnny Sauter hasn’t been able to rack up a ton of wins this year, but he is always right in the mix. Sauter has one victory with four runner-up finishes and seven top-5 finishes. He comes to a track where he has placed fifth the last two years. I like Sauter’s consistency to finish near the front. When you are always near the front of the pack, eventually you get paid off.
John Hunter Nemechek is the only driver in the field that has won this race before. He took home the checkered flag in 2015. This year, he has picked up a pair of wins and has a total of seven top-5 finishes. Given his success at the track in the past, he is worth considering tonight. This race is somewhat of a wild car with no Monster Energy Series regulars competing.
