Corrigan Oil 200 Predictions
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series gets a busy 24 hours of racing starting this afternoon with the running of the Corrigan Oil 200. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Johnny Sauter and Noah Gragson are the co-favorites to win this race, as each is getting +325 odds to win. Brett Moffitt is listed with +600 odds to prevail. The Corrigan Oil 200 takes place today at 1PM ET from Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.
53000 Johnny Sauter +325
Sauter is a former winner of this race and he is having a strong 2018 season in the Truck Series. Sauter has racked up four victories this year and six other top-5 finishes. While he is in a bit of a funk, finishing outside the top 5 in his last three, I expect him to get back on track at Michigan. MIS has been a good track for him and he is one of the most experienced drivers in today’s race.
53002 Brett Moffitt +600
Moffitt got his first-ever Truck Series win at Michigan last year and now he returns looking to defend his title. This year, Moffitt has picked up three wins with four other top-5 finishes. Moffitt has been a bit all-or-nothing this year, as he has finished outside the top 10 seven times. However, MIS is a track where he should come in with a lot of confidence.
53005 Ben Rhodes +800
Rhodes is a nice dark horse option for today’s race. He picked up his first win of the year, and second of his career, a few weeks ago in Kentucky. Now he is coming to a track where he has finished sixth and 11th. Those are two of his better runs over his 3-year Truck Series history. Rhodes has finished 11th or better in three of his last four races, including two top-2 finishes. I think he can put together another strong run today at a track he has some experience at.
