Toyota Tundra 250 Picks
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series gets the busy racing weekend started with the Toyota Tundra 250 taking place tonight.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kyle Busch is the clear favorite, as he is getting odds of -175 to win. Other short odds are Christopher Bell, Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton, who are each getting 6/1 odds. The Toyota Tundra 250 takes place on tonight at 8:30PM ET from Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
Kyle Busch is a driver you can’t ignore when he competes in the truck series. He struggled in his only start this year, but that is a rarity. He won two of the four races he competed in last season and two of four in 2015. He also is a former champion of this event, taking the title in 2014.
Johnny Sauter has been pretty steady this year. He has finished in the top 3 over the last two races and comes to a track where he finished third in 2015 and fifth in 2013. Sauter should be right in the mix with Busch all night. If Busch should make a mistake, I think Sauter will be the one to capitalize.
Of the dark horse drivers, Regan Smith is someone I think has a shot. He is listed with +2000 odds to claim a victory tonight. He has finished 12th in the last two races, but also placed sixth at Daytona. While those results don’t pop off the page, I think he is a driver that should remain in the mix. With those long odds, Smith deserves some consideration.
