Iowa 250 Predictions
The NASCAR Xfinity Series gets a rare Sunday showcase today for the running of the Iowa 250. Here’s three drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Christopher Bell is the favorite in this race, as he is getting odds of +150 to prevail. Other short odds to win are Cole Custer (+550), Elliott Sadler (+600) and Justin Allgaier (+600). The Iowa 250 takes place Sunday at 5PM ET from Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa and will air live on FS1.
47500 Christopher Bell +150
Bell is having a strong 2018 run, his first in the Xfinity Series. He has picked up a victory at Richmond to go with six other top-5 finishes. He also has competed in this race before and has had strong runs at Iowa in the truck series. Bell has found his way toward the front of the pack in most of the Xfinity Series races this year and I think he will be in the mix again today.
47503 Elliott Sadler +600
Sadler has finished eighth or better in this race the last two years and he has been very consistent in 2018. He placed 30th at Michigan, but prior to that he has finished in the top 10 in all other races. This year, Sadler has nine top-5 finishes and two runner-up finishes. He is due to break through for a victory. Running so close to the lead so often will eventually lead to the victory.
47505 John Hunter Nemechek +1100
The 2018 season hasn’t been tremendous for Nemechek, but he still has three top-10 finishes and seven top-15 finishes over his eight races. He comes to Iowa today, a track that he has had success in for the Truck Series. He won the truck races last year and was competing in Saturday’s race as well. He is a veteran of Iowa and I think that will help him in today’s race.
