The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to the road course in Wisconsin for the running of the Johnsonville 180 this afternoon. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Austin Cindric is the favorite to win this race, as he is getting +200 odds. Other short odds to win are James Davison (+375) and Justin Marks (+400). The Johnsonville 180 takes place today at 3PM ET from Road America in Plymouth, Wisconsin. The race will air live on the NBC Sports Network.
Justin Marks +400
Marks is one of the few drivers that has some success at this track. He was fourth in this race last year and seventh in 2015. He has driven in a lot of road course races. His lone Xfinity Series race this year was at Ohio, another road course. While he finished 22nd, he still has a lot of experience at road courses and should have a strong run today.
Justin Allgaier +450
Allgaier is having a great year in the series. He has three victories and nine other top-5 finishes. He has a win at Ohio, another road course, and was third at Watkins Glen. Road America was 11th in this race last year and sixth in 2016. Allgaier should be one of the regulars that will best contend for the victory today.
Christopher Bell +1200
Bell hasn’t been stellar at road courses, but still has been in the mix. He was ninth at Watkins Glen and 11th at Ohio. He has four victories on the year and manages to find himself in the mix for wins no matter the course. He has some experience at Road America as well, so I think that will help him compete for a big win this afternoon.
