The NASCAR Xfinity Series kicks off the racing weekend at Watkins Glen this afternoon with the Zippo 200. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kyle Busch is favored to win this race, as he has +190 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (+500), Joey Logano (+550) and Kyle Larson (+650). The Zippo 200 takes place today at 2:14PM ET from Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, NY.
Kyle Busch is still favored for this race, but not by as much as usual. He has yet to win the Xfinity race at this track, but has been a strong road course driver in Sprint Cup competition. He still has won seven of the 11 races he has competed in this year and has to be expected to win again today.
Brad Keselowski is a solid play today as well despite his struggles in the series this year. He won this race in 2013 and was second last year. He is among the favorites to win Sunday in Sprint Cup action as well, so look for him to do well this afternoon. Despite being winless in 2016, he has three top-3 finishes.
Paul Menard has +1000 odds for today’s race, but there is some good value with those odds. Menard has finished fourth or better in three of the five races he’s competed in this year and he has placed in the top 10 at this track in his last three appearances. He’s a regular in the Sprint Cup Series as well, so has plenty of experience on road courses that he can use to move to the head of the pack in this younger field.
