Road America 180 Picks
The NASCAR Xfinity Series competes this afternoon in the Road America 180. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Alex Tagliani is the favorite, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Owen Kelly (5/1), Erik Jones (6/1) and Justin Allgaier (6/1). The Road America 180 takes place today at 3:21PM ET from Road America in Plymouth, WI.
Alex Tagliani is a road-course specialist and he has performed well when he has competed in the Xfinity Series. He has finished in the top 5 in the last three races he has driven in, including two runner-up finishes. With this field being a bit lackluster, look for him to contend for the win.
Erik Jones has had a really solid 2016 campaign in this series. He has three wins this year to go with a total of 10 top-5 finishes. He also has driven well in road courses, taking sixth at Ohio a few weeks ago. Though road courses aren’t known to be his thing, look for him to still be in the mix for a win.
Daniel Suarez is a long shot at 15/1 to win today, but we think he is worth considering. He has one win this year and nine top-5 finishes. He also finished fourth in the race at Watkins Glen a few weeks back, so he knows how to get around a road track. Look for him to make a push for the win today in this lightened field.
