Ford EcoBoost 300 Picks
The NASCAR Xfinity Series waves the green flag on its season finale, the Ford EcoBoost 300 later today. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, William Byron is favored to win this race, as he has +333 odds. Other short odds to win are Ryan Preece (+450), Christopher Bell (+500) and Tyler Reddick (+600). The Ford EcoBoost 300 takes place today at 3:30PM ET from Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.
William Byron is having a great first year in the Xfinity Series and it would make sense for the 2017 run to end with another victory. He has picked up for wins this year, including back-to-back wins at Iowa and Daytona. Byron is coming off a win last week in Phoenix and now heads to a track where he picked up a win a year ago in the Truck Series. Byron could be the man to beat today.
Christopher Bell hasn’t competed much in the Xfinity Series, but he has been on a nice little hot streak over the last month. It started with a win at Kansas and has been followed up with a sixth-place finish at Texas and a fourth-place finish at Phoenix. Bell also finished second at Homestead in Friday’s Truck race. I expect his hot streak to continue today as he should push Byron for the victory.
Tyler Reddick is a nice dark horse candidate with +600 odds today. Reddick has had spotty success in the Xfinity series, but does have a win at Kentucky. He comes to a track that has been good to him in the Truck Series, as he has placed sixth or better in three appearances at Homestead. That includes a third-place finish in 2015 and a second-place finish in 2016.
