Pocono Green 250 Picks
The NASCAR Xfinity Series waves the green flag for the Pocono Green 250 later today. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kyle Larson is the favorite to win this race with +180 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (+250), Daniel Suarez (+600) and Justin Allgaier (+800). The Pocono Green 250 takes place Saturday at 1PM ET from Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.
Kyle Larson is the favorite for a reason today. He is the only previous winner of this race after taking the checkered flag in its debut a year ago. He also has been hot in the Xfinity Series this year, winning three of the six races he has competed in. Larson isn’t lacking in any confidence in NASCAR right now, so he should push for a win in this Xfinity races.
Brad Keselowski hasn’t been great in Xfinity races over the last few years, but he’s still hard to pass up because he’s Brad Keselowski. He has finished in the top 5 in two of his four 2017 races, but his last win in the series was mid-2015. Look for Keselowski to have a good run and push Larson for the victory.
Elliott Sadler has +1200 odds to win this race, but I think that’s good value for a regular contender in the series. Sadler has been a series regular for the last five years and has racked up a number of wins. This year, he is winless, but has four top-5 finishes and nine top-10 runs. Sadler may need a little help to get to the front, but with a little luck, he is as capable of winning as anyone. His consistency puts him in position to capitalize if someone makes a mistake up front. That’s all you need in a dark horse.
