Joey Logano won this race in 2012. He is the highest-profiled driver in this year’s race. He is coming off a second-place finish in his last Xfinity race weeks ago. Logano had one win and five top-3 finishes a year ago out of nine appearances. Today marks his third race of 2018 and I expect him to be the driver to beat.
38004 Christopher Bell +300
Christopher Bell continues to look good in his first year as a full-time Xfinity Series driver. He has finished fourth or better in the last three races. I expect him to continue to build on that success this week. Bell clearly has the potential to start racking up wins as he gets more experience on the track. If Logano can’t get the win, I think Bell will be the regular to beat.
Elliot Sadler +1200
Elliot Sadler is a driver with longer odds that I like. He has finished in the top 10 in all four Xfinity races this year, with three top-5 finishes. He comes to California for a race that he has never finished worse than 10th in. Sadler does a great job of staying out of trouble on the track and puts himself in position to steal a win with a little luck.
