Auto Club 500 Odds
The Auto Club 500 is set to run this Sunday, February 22 and oddsmakers have made Jimmie Johnson a 4/1 favored to win this 2009 Sprint Cup Series race.
Even with Matt Kenseth winning the rain-shortened Daytona 500 last week, it comes as no surprise that oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Johnson a 4/1 favorite for this year’s Auto Club 500 race. Johnson, who opened as a 3/1 favorite to win this year’s NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Championship series, is currently favored to win the 2009 Sprint Cup at 7/2 odds.
Joining Johnson as one of the favorites to win is 2008 Auto Club 500 winner and Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards, whose odds have been established at 4.5/1. Edwards’ Roush teammate and 2009 Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth is currently sitting as a 10/1 long shot to win the Auto Club 500.
Rounding out the top five to win this year’s Auto Parts 500 is Kyle Bush at 5/1 odds to win, Greg Biffle at 10/1 odds to win, Dale Earnhardt Jr. at 15/1, Jeff Gorden at 15/1 and Mark Martin at 15/1.
The 2009 Auto Club 500 takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 5:00PM ET. The race will be televised live on FOX and FOX HD. Carl Edwards won the 2008 Auto Club 500.
