Shelby 427 Odds
The Shelby 427 is ready to run this Sunday, March 1 and oddsmakers have made Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson 5/1 favorites to win this 2009 Sprint Cup Series race.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Johnson and Edwards the odds favorites to win the Shelby 427 at 5/1 despite Matt Kenseth currently being the 2009 Sprint Cup points leader.
Kenseth won the rain-shortened Daytona 500 and the Auto Club 500 last week, yet his odds have been established at 7/1 to win the Shelby 427. At 385 points, he leads all 2009 Sprint Cup drivers.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon’s odds have also been established at 7/1, as well as Roush Fenway Racing’s Greg Biffle. Gordon is currently second behind Kenseth in points, while Biffle is fifth. Kyle Busch has been given 6/1 odds, right behind Edwards and Johnson.
