Last week: Carl Edwards snapped a 70-race winless streak with a victory at Phoenix. Daytona 500 winner Johnson was second.
Fast facts: Two-time Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed in an accident at the track in the 2011 IndyCar finale. … Johnson has a record four victories in Las Vegas. … Kyle Busch won the 2009 race on his home track. … The race is the final event that will use 2012 owner points to determine the six provisional spots in the field.

Last year: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. raced to the first of his six 2012 victories en route to his second straight series title. Mark Martin was second.
Last week: Kyle Busch ended a 24-race Nationwide victory drought, winning at Phoenix. He pushed his series-record victory total to 52.
Fast facts: Busch is entered along with fellow Cup drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski. … Reed Sorenson is filling in for the injured Michael Annett in Richard Petty Motorsports’ No. 43 Ford. Annett had surgery last week to repair a fractured and dislocated sternum. He was injured in a last-lap crash at Daytona.
