Race distance: 500 laps, 266.5 miles.
Last year: Kyle Busch completed an unprecedented Trucks-Nationwide-Sprint Cup sweep.
Last week: Busch raced to his series-leading fourth Cup victory of the year and 23rd overall, outlasting Jimmie Johnson in a green-white-checkered finish at Michigan. Busch leads the series standings by 10 points over Johnson and is assured of a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Fast facts: There are three races left in the regular season. The top 10 in the standings and the top two victory leaders between Nos. 11 and 20 will earn spots in the Chase. Brad Keselowski (12th in the standings with two victories) and Denny Hamlin (14th with one win) hold the wild-card spots. … In March, Busch completed a weekend Nationwide-Cup sweep at the track, giving him five straight NASCAR victories at the track. He has won five of the last nine Cup races at Bristol. Busch’s driver’s license was suspended for 45 days Tuesday, three months after he was pulled over in North Carolina for driving 128 mph in a 45 mph zone close to a day-care center and church in a nearly $400,000 car. Busch also was fined $1,000, sentenced to 30 hours of community service and put on one year of unsupervised probation. He pleaded guilty to speeding and no contest to reckless and careless driving. NASCAR doesn’t require competitors to have a valid driver’s license. … Darrell Waltrip holds the track record with 12 victories, winning seven straight from 1980-84.

Race distance: 250 laps, 133.25 miles.
Last year: Kyle Busch raced to the 10th of his record 13 victories in 2010, part of an unprecedented Trucks-Nationwide-Sprint Cup sweep. He won after intentionally spinning leader Brad Keselowski in retaliation for Keselowski’s bump seconds earlier.
Last week: Australia’s Marcos Ambrose won the road-course race in Montreal, holding off Canadian Alex Tagliani. Five days earlier at Watkins Glen, Ambrose raced to his first Sprint Cup victory.
Fast facts: In March at the track, Kyle Busch swept the Nationwide and Cup races. He has a series-high six victories this year to tie Mark Martin for the career record with 49. … Ricky Stenhouse Jr. leads the standings, eight points ahead of Elliott Sadler with 10 races left. Reed Sorenson is third, nine points behind Stenhouse.

Last year: Team Penske’s Will Power raced to the last of his five 2010 victories, leading 73 of 75 laps at the track where he broke his back in practice in 2009. Scott Dixon was second.
Last race: Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter-Reay won at New Hampshire on Aug. 14 after a wreck in wet conditions with 10 laps made a mess of the finish.
Fast facts: Target Chip Ganassi’s Dario Franchitti, the 2009 winner, has a 47-point lead over Power in the season standings. Franchitti and Power share the series lead with four victories.
