CONCORD, N.C. (AP) – Chase Elliott is bringing NAPA’s sponsorship with him to the Sprint Cup Series.
Hendrick Motorsports announced Wednesday that NAPA has signed a three-year deal to be the majority sponsor for Elliott, who will replace four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon in the No. 24 Chevrolet next season.
NAPA will serve as Elliott’s primary sponsor in 24 races in 2016, including the season-opening Daytona 500, and will be an associate-level sponsor in all other events.
Gaylord Spencer, senior vice president of marketing for NAPA Auto Parts, says Elliott ”continues to represent our brand in a terrific way, and we couldn’t be more pleased to take our association with him to the next level.”
NAPA was the primary sponsor for Elliott’s car during the Xfinity Series last season, when he became NASCAR’s youngest national series champion.
