CONCORD, N.C. (AP) – Kimi Raikkonen will run the Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. The former Formula One champion isn’t sure what he’ll do next.
Raikkonen made his NASCAR debut in last week’s Trucks Series race. He finished 15th.
He indicated Thursday he’d like to race the Sprint Cup Series race at Sonoma next month, but wasn’t sure it would happen.
Although Kyle Busch Motorsports fielded the truck for Raikkonen last week and helped him put together the Nationwide ride for Saturday night, Busch says money issues have prevented them from scheduling anything else.
Busch says the contract he has with Raikkonen calls for a certain amount of money that has not been paid.
