Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Rockets are 3-point favorites to beat the Timberwolves. The total, meanwhile, sits at 227.5 points and as of this writing, 63% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Rockets to cover the point spread.
Houston Rockets Fantasy Spin
Coach Mike D’Antoni said that he was “pretty sure” that James Harden (shoulder) will play Wednesday vs. the Wolves. Harden was dealing with soreness in his left shoulder on Monday but still managed to tally 31 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, five steals, six triples and five turnovers in 36 minutes. D’Antoni said the shoulder felt “better” on Tuesday and that Harden may practice with the team. The Beard will look to extend his incredible scoring streak of 30+ points to 31 games on Wednesday.
Minnesota Timberwolves Fantasy Spin
Derrick Rose (ankle) is probable to play on Wednesday against the Rockets. Rose looked fine in his return from a three-game absence on Monday, so he should be good to go for Minnesota’s final game heading into the All-Star break. Andrew Wiggins (illness) is questionable, so Rose could see a slight uptick in usage tomorrow night.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The Rockets are just 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 games overall and failed to cover in six of their previous game road games.
Minnesota
The Timberwolves are 6-19-1 at the betting window in their last 26 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous contest.
Prediction
The Rockets have beaten the Timberwolves in 17 of the past 21 meetings but it’ll be Houston that is seeking revenge from a loss to Minnesota earlier this season. That said, the Timberwolves won for just the second time in their past eight games on Monday, beating a depleted Clippers team 130-120 at home. Minnesota is just 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games overall and has failed to cover in seven of the previous 10 matchups with Houston.
