Bucks look lost
Milwaukee dropped its third game in the series and was held under 100 points in a 105-99 loss at home to the Raptors in Game 5 on Thursday. They are now down 3-2 in the series. The Bucks are 70-26 on the season, 31-16 on the road, 57-35-4 against the spread and 50-46 with the over.
The Bucks couldn’t find enough offense to get past the Raptors in Game 5, going just 10 of 31 from the arc and only getting to the line 18 times. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points with six rebounds and six assists, but he definitely is struggling with the Toronto defense. Khris Middleton managed 10 points and 10 assists, but was held to only six points on 2 of 9 shooting. Eric Bledsoe added 20 points.
Raptors one win away
Toronto continued to work its magic against Milwaukee, earning a third straight win in the series to get one win away from their first NBA Finals. They have covered the spread in all three games. The Raptors are now 69-30 on the season, 39-11 at home, 47-52 against the spread and 50-46-3 with the over.
The Toronto defense continues to shine in this series with different players are stepping up on offense. Kawhi Leonard had another amazing performance with 35 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, but Fred VanFleet was 7 of 9 from the arc off the bench for 21 points. Pascal Siakam added 14 points with 13 rebounds while Kyle Lowry had 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 21-6 against the spread following a loss and 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 road games.
Toronto
The Raptors are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 Saturday games.
Prediction:
I haven’t had much luck in this series. I keep believing the Bucks are the better team only to see Toronto outclass them with solid defense. Perhaps the Bucks are finally showing their playoff inexperience. Everything is telling me to pick Toronto today, but I feel like I should go against my instincts, as they have been off this series. The pressure is finally back on Toronto now, as they are at home with a chance to clinch the East. While Leonard should be fine, I think we could see those role players get tight. Milwaukee has to leave it all on the floor tonight, which could lead to more transition offense and an upset win.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks +2
