According to oddsmakers, the Raptors are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Warriors. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 214 points. Warriors can’t get find their stride
Golden State lost Game 4 at home, 105-92, to fall behind 3-1 in the series to the Raptors. Golden State is also 1-3 against the spread in this series. The Warriors are now 70-32 on the season, 34-17 on the road and 51-50-1 with the under.
The Warriors were able to get Klay Thompson back for Game 4, but it didn’t help the team shoot from the outside. The Warriors were just 8 of 27 from the arc. Stephen Curry led the team with 27 points and six assists while Thompson added 28 points. Draymond Green put up 10 points with 12 assists and nine rebounds. Kevin Durant attempted to practice last night and is listed as questionable for today’s game.
Raptors on the brink
Toronto has been the better team in this series by a wide margin. If not for an 18-0 run for Golden State in Game 2, Toronto would have already won the NBA Finals. The Raptors are 73-31 overall, 41-12 at home, 51-53 against the spread and 53-48-3 with the over.
The Raptors continued their impressive defensive effort in this series in Game 4, forcing Golden State into 17 turnovers. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 36 points, 12 rebounds and four steals while Serge Ibaka added 20 points and four rebounds off the bench. Pascal Siakam put up 19 points with six rebounds.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four Monday games, but 13-6 ATS in their last 19 following a failed cover.
Toronto
The Raptors are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven against Pacific Division opponents and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Prediction:
The Warriors haven’t been able to figure out the Toronto defense and getting a less-than-100 percent Durant isn’t likely to help. It’s hard to imagine that Durant can play at a high level with a calf injury that isn’t fully healed. Toronto has been the better team in this series and should have completed a sweep. While the Warriors have been able to overcome a lot during their dynasty, I don’t see them being able to extend this series tonight.
NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -1.5
