NBA Betting Trends
Charlotte
The Hornets are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, but 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a losing home record.
Chicago
The Bulls are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 Friday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on 1 day of rest.
Prediction:
The Bulls picked up a narrow win at Charlotte last month, 116-115. However, the Hornets have covered in four straight against the Bulls. I don’t love the Hornets here, but it’s hard for me to ride the Bulls giving up so many points. Chicago has been very streaky this year and has had plenty of letdowns at home. Charlotte has a little momentum right now from two nice wins as underdogs and I think they can embrace this large underdog role tonight. Chicago isn’t a team that Charlotte should feel less than. The Hornets have the better scoring depth and will be able to challenge Chicago on both sides of the floor. I think Charlotte can grind this game out and win outright. If the Hornets can’t win, I think they will at least keep it close.
NBA Prediction: Charlotte Hornets +6.5
