Utah-Denver Series Odds
After securing the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets find themselves as the favorites to beat the fifth-seeded Utah Jazz.
The Nuggets and Jazz each compiled an identical 53-29 record in the regular season. Denver finished 34-7 at home and 19-22 on the road, while Utah was 32-9 at home and 21-20 on the road.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Nuggets –175 money line favorites over the Jazz in their best of seven series. Considering they finished with the same record as Denver, Utah represents value at +155 in the series.
This season, the Nuggets finished 35-41-6 against the spread overall, 20-20-1 ATS at home and 15-21-5 on the road. The Jazz were 38-44 overall, 22-19 at home and 16-25 on the road.
Part of the reason Denver is favored is because of its excellent 3-1 record against Utah this season. Utah beat Denver 116-106 on February 6, but lost to the Nuggets in the teams’ previous meetings.
The Jazz are led by Carlos Boozer, who is averaging 19.5 points per game, and Deron Williams, who is averaging 10.5 assists per game. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are led by Carmelo Anthony, who is averaging 28.2 poins per game, and Chauncey Billups, who is averaging 5.6 assists per game.
