Spurs-Mavs Series Odds
Even though they secured the No.2 in the West, the Dallas Mavericks only find themselves slight favorites over the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The Mavericks finished with a 55-27 overall record in the regular season, with a 28-13 home record and a 27-14 road record. The Spurs finished five games below the Mavs at 50-32, while compiling a 29-12 home record and a 21-20 road record.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Mavericks –160 favorites on the money line for their series against the Spurs. Meanwhile, San Antonio is +140 on the money line for its best of seven series against Dallas.
Dallas finished with a record below. 500 against the spread this season at 37-44-1 overall. They were horrible at home against the number, posting an 11-29-1 record in Dallas, but were a stellar 26-15 on the road.
The Spurs fared much better against the number this season, posting a 44-37-1 overall record, including a 24-16-1 home mark. They were 20-21 against the spread on the road this year.
The Mavs are led by Dirk Nowitzki, who averages 25 points per game and 7.7 rebounds. Jason Kidd is also an integral part of Dallas’ offense, averaging 9.1 assits per game and 1.81 steals.
The Spurs are led by perennial All-Star Tim Duncan, who averages 17.9 points per game, 10.1 rebounds per contest and 1.50 blocks. Tony Parker leads the team with 5.7 assists per outing and Manu Ginobili holds an average of 1.37 steals per contest.
