OK City-LA Series Odds
The Los Angeles Lakers clinched the top seed in the Western Conference and now find themselves as heavy favorites to beat the eighth-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Lakers secured the top spot in the West after compiling a 57-25 record during the regular season. They finished with a stellar 34-7 home record and a 35-17 conference record, although they finished just 4-6 in their last 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Thunder compiled a 50-32 record, including winning records both at home (27-14) and on the road (23-18). They were 28-24 in conference and wrapped the season up with a 6-4 record in their last 10 games.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Los Angeles a heavy favorite at –800 on the money line. Oklahoma finds itself at +500 on the money line for the teams’ best of seven series.
The Lakers are led by All-Star Kobe Bryant, who has averaged 27 points per game and 5.0 assists per contest. Pau Gasol has averaged 11.3 rebounds per game and 1.74 blocked shots. Youngster Kevin Durant leads the Thunder, averaging 30.1 points per game and 7.6 rebounds.
The Lakers were a dismal 33-46-3 overall record against the spread this season and 16-23-2 home ATS record. They were just 17-23-1 on the road against the number in 2010.
The Thunder fared much better against the spread this season, compiling a 48-34 overall record, including a 22-19 home record and a 26-15 away record. The Lakers secured wins over the Thunder in three of their last four meetings, although Oklahoma City did claim victory on March 26, in the teams’ last matchup.
