NBA All-Star Game Odds
ORLANDO, FL (TheSpread) – The NBA All-Star Game is the showcase of the league’s top stars. Here is a look at the odds for this year’s contest, which takes place on Sunday night.
According to oddsmakers, the Eastern Conference is the favorite to win this year’s game, as they have a point spread of -2.5 against the Western Conference. The over/under total for this contest has been set at 276.5 points.
The Eastern Conference team is composed of starters Derrick Rose (Chicago), Dwayne Wade (Miami), LeBron James (Miami), Carmelo Anthony (New York), and Dwight Howard (Orlando). Reserves include Chris Bosh (Miami), Luol Deng (Chicago), Roy Hibbert (Indiana), Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia), Joe Johnson (Atlanta), Paul Pierce (Boston), Deron Williams (New Jersey). The team will be coached by Chicago’s Tom Thibodeau.
The Western Conference team is comprised of starters Chris Paul (L.A. Clippers), Kobe Bryant (L.A. Lakers), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City), Blake Griffin (L.A. Clippers), and Andrew Bynum (L.A. Lakers). The reserves for the West are LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland), Marc Gasol (Memphis), Kevin Love (Minnesota), Steve Nash (Phoenix), Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas), Tony Parker (San Antonio), and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City). Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks is leading the team.
The two teams have alternated wins over the last six games. The West won last year’s game 148-143. The last time a conference won back-to-back All-Star games was the East in 2005 and 2006. In regards to the over/under total, the two teams have gone over 277 points in the last two games.
