“Linsanity” NBA Prop Odds
NEW YORK, NY (The Spread) – Oddsmakers have taken notice of “Linsanity” and have compiled new prop odds revolving around Jeremy Lin and the Knicks.
Before Lin’s first game with the Knicks, oddsmakers listed New York as a 40/1 long shot to win the 2012 NBA Finals. But today the Knicks are currently sitting at 18/1, which is not all that surprising given how much the public is getting swept up in Lin’s recent play.
Along the same lines, the Knicks were 22/1 to win the Eastern Conference this year and are now 10/1. They are also 6/1 to win the 2012 NBA Atlantic Division, which puts them right behind the Philadelphia 76ers (2/5) and Boston Celtics (5/2).

Will the Knicks make the playoffs? Oddsmakers list the odds for “Yes” at 1/5 and the odds for “No” at 3/1. The team’s season win total is now listed at over/under 36.5.
Getting back to Lin, the emerging star is a 40/1 long shot to win the 2012 NBA Regular Season MVP but he wasn’t even on the radar for the award a mere month ago. And for the prop “Will Jeremy Lin hit a game winning buzzer beater shot from February 15th on in the Regular Season?” the odds for “Yes” are 3/1.
Whether Lin’s hot play will continue to dramatically fall off, oddsmakers have certainly taken notice of “Linsanity” and have adjusted their odds accordingly.
