Updated NBA East Odds
(TheSpread) – The Eastern Conference is down to four teams after an interesting first round. Here is a look at the updated odds to win the conference title.
According to oddsmakers, the Miami Heat are the clear favorite to win, with 1/5 odds. Other odds to win are the Boston Celtics (5/1), the Indiana Pacers (8/1), and the Philadelphia 76ers (20/1).
The Heat is the No. 2 seed and the best seed remaining in the East. Miami beat New York in five games and won their three contests at home by a sizeable margin. Miami is the defending conference champion and they have won the conference title twice in franchise history.
Boston is the No. 4 seed. The Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games to reach the second round. The Celtics have won 21 conference titles in franchise history, the last of which came in 2010.
The Pacers are the No. 3 seed in the East. They disposed of the depleted Orlando Magic in five games. Indiana has won six conference titles in franchise history, the last coming in 2000.
The 76ers are the No. 8 seed in the East. They managed to defeat the top-seeded Chicago Bulls in six games thanks to the Bulls suffering major injuries to two key players. Philadelphia has won 11 conference titles in franchise history, the last coming in 2001.
