NBA Eastern Conference Odds
(TheSpread) – The Eastern Conference is stacked with big-name talent. Here is a look at the odds to win this year’s conference title as part of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
According to oddsmakers, the Miami Heat are the favorites to win the playoffs, with 2/3 odds. Other short odds to win are the Chicago Bulls (3/2), the Boston Celtics (8/1), and the New York Knicks (10/1).
Miami is the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Heat are 46-20 this season and 35-13 in the Eastern Conference. The Heat have won the conference title two times, including last year’s chacmpionship.
Chicago is the top seed in the East with a 50-16 record. The Bulls were 38-10 against conference opponents, which was tops of any team in the East. The Bulls have won 6 conference titles, with the last coming in 1998.
Boston will be the No. 4 seed in the East. The Celtics were 39-27 on the season and 32-16 in conference play. The Celtics have won 21 conference titles, with the last coming in 2010.
The Knicks will be the No. 7 seed in the playoffs. New York is 36-30 on the season and 28-20 against conference opponents. New York last won the East in 1999 and they have eight conference titles in franchise history.
