Updated NBA West Odds
(TheSpread) – The Western Conference is down to four teams as part of the 2012 NBA Playoffs. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the West.
According to oddsmakers, the San Antonio Spurs are the favorite to win the West, as they have 10/11 odds to win. Other short odds to win are the Oklahoma City Thunder (5/4), the Los Angeles Lakers (6/1), and the Los Angeles Clippers (25/1).
The Spurs are the top seed in the West and they swept the Jazz in the first round of the playoffs. San Antonio now faces the Clippers in the second round. The Spurs have won four conference titles in program history, the last of which came in 2007.
Oklahoma City is the No. 2 seed in the West. The Thunder swept the defending NBA champs, the Dallas Mavericks, in the first round. Oklahoma City faces the Lakers in the second round. The Thunder have never won their conference title, but reached the conference finals last season.
The Lakers are the third seed in the West and they beat the Denver Nuggets in seven games to reach the conference semifinals. The Lakers have won 32 conference titles in franchise history, the last of which came in 2010.
The Clippers are the No. 5 seed in the West. Los Angeles got past Memphis in seven games to reach the conference semifinals. The Clippers have never won the conference title.
