Updated NBA Championship Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2014-15 NBA Season gets started tomorrow night. Here is one last look at the odds to win the 2015 NBA Finals prior to the season starting.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win it all, as they have odds of 14/5 odds. Other short odds to win are the San Antonio Spurs (7/2), the Oklahoma City Thunder (7/1) and the Chicago Bulls (15/2).
Cleveland comes into the year with plenty of excitement as LeBron James has returned home and the team added Kevin Love to go with guard Kyrie Irving. With the Eastern Conference down, the Cavs should have a relatively easy path to the championship round.
The Spurs are the defending NBA champs and return the majority of the roster from last year. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan will lead the way, but now have the elevated play of Kawhi Leonard to join them.
The Thunder are expected to contend with the Spurs in the West, but the team will be without Kevin Durant in the early stages of the season, as he recovers from a broken foot. Russell Westbrook will have to step up in Durant’s absence.
The Bulls have hopes for this season if Derrick Rose can stay healthy. He has had severe knee injuries in two of the last three years, causing him to play limited games. The team added Pau Gasol in the offseason in hopes to aid the team in the paint.
