Rockets give Harden an extension
The Houston Rockets locked up their star player for years to come, announcing an extension with James Harden on Saturday.
During a press conference to introduce new additions Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon, the Rockets announced that they have signed Harden to an extension that will run through the 2019-20 season. The extension is worth $118.1 million according to ESPN.com.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Rockets are currently listed with 200/1 odds to win the 2017 NBA Finals. They are also listed with 75/1 odds to win the Western Conference.
Harden is coming off a 2015-16 season where he played in all 82 games and averaged a career-high 29 points. He also averaged 7.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals. Houston went 41-41 during the season, finishing eighth in the West. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and lost Dwight Howard to the Hawks in free agency.
