2021 NBA Championship Futures Odds

The L.A. Lakers have opened as the favorites to repeat as NBA champions but which teams do oddsmakers feel could give LeBron and Co. a run for their money? Here’s a look at the 2021 NBA Championship futures odds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Lakers are 15/4 to win the 2021 NBA Championship, followed by the Clippers at 11/2. The Bucks have the next-best odds and the best odds of any team in the Eastern Conference at 8/1, followed by the Warriors at 10/1 despite Golden State missing the postseason altogether in 2020. The Nets round out the top-5 at 12/1.

Moving to the rest of the teams in the top-10 in terms of their odds, the Celtics are 15/1, followed by the Eastern Conference champion Heat at 20/1. The Nuggets and 76ers are both 25/1, respectively, while the Mavericks, Rockets and Raptors round out the top-10/12 at 30/1, respectively, to win the 2021 NBA Championship.

Your mid-range long shots include the Blazers at 40/1, the Jazz at 50/1, as well as the Pelicans and Suns at 60/1, respectively. The Thunder start the run of deep long shots at 100/1, followed by the Hawks, Bulls, Pacers, Grizzlies and Wizards at 125/1, respectively, to win the NBA championship in 2021.

The teams that essentially have no shot of winning but have odds anyway are the Timberwolves, Magic, Kings and Spurs at 250/1, respectively. The Cavs, Pistons and Knicks, meanwhile, are all 350/1, respectively, but the team with the longest odds to win the 20201 NBA Championship is the Charlotte Hornets, who are a whopping 500/1 to win next year’s title.
