76ers vs. Clippers Pick
Are the Philadelphia 76ers going to bounce back from a blowout loss with a victory tonight against the host Los Angeles Clippers? Tip-off is at 10:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Clippers are a 2-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 221 points.
Philadelphia comes in with a 6-6 overall record and 8-4 ATS after a 135-114 loss at the Warriors. Los Angeles is 5-7 overall and 5-7 ATS following its fifth straight loss, a 111-103 setback at the Pelicans. The two meetings were split 1-1 straight up last season and the Sixers went 2-0 ATS. The over-under went 1-1.
The 76ers were led by J.J. Redick in the loss at Golden State as he tallied a team-best 17 points to go with six assists and three steals. Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarot scored 15 off the bench. Dario Saric added 14 points and three assists. Philadelphia trailed 101-75 through three quarters.
In the Clipoers’ loss at New Orleans, Blake Griffin had 26 points along with six assists and four rebounds. Austin Rivers had 19 points, three assists and two steals. DeAndre Jordan added 12 points and 14 rebounds. Los Angeles trailed 63-58 at halftime and could not bounce back in the second half.
The 76ers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles and 3-8 in the last 11 meetings overall.
Everyone who runs into the Warriors gets blasted these days, so don’t put much stock in the up-and-coming Sixers having issues the other day. This is a great get-right spot against the struggling Clippers, who will be looking at a sixth loss in a row after Philly takes care of business. Look for Redick to have a big night agianst his former team.
