James Harden recorded another double-double on Tuesday with 26 points (7-for-14 FGs), seven rebounds, 13 assists, three steals, one block, two triples and five turnovers in a loss to the Wizards. Harden has certainly beaten the washed allegations from the playoffs with his performance so far this season. After finishing outside the top ten for the first time in a long time last season, he is back where he belongs with his production this year. He has certainly had some rough shooting nights and turnovers have plagued him at times, but that is nothing new for him. He is undoubtedly still a premier fantasy asset, even if he has lost a step or two from his prime.
New Orleans Pelicans DFS Spin
Zion Williamson scored a career-high 43 points on 14-of-21 shooting and added three rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and a triple in Wednesday’s one-point win over Minnesota. Forget about windmill dunks and crazy histrionics. This win was all about clutch baskets, and Zion had plenty of them. Down 110-105 with 2:44 on the clock, he scored 14 points the rest of the way and hit the go-ahead free throw with four seconds on the clock to give New Orleans a 119-118 lead that it wouldn’t relinquish. He knocked down 14-of-19 attempts from the charity stripe on his way to a career-best offensive performance. Back after a three-game absence, Zion showed no signs of rust whatsoever. In 10 games prior to his brief layoff, he averaged 29.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.5 steals, and he’s quickly established himself as one of fantasy basketball’s top options. What’s crazy is that we still haven’t seen his peak.
