Hawks fall in OT
Atlanta fell 105-104 Friday night in overtime at Indiana to drop to 4-15 overall and 2-8 on the road. The Hawks outscored the hosts 29-22 in the fourth quarter to force OT, but were then outscored 11-10 in the extra session. Trae Young poured in 49 points in the defeat on 16-of-28 shooting including 8-of-15 from 3-point distance plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also accounted for six assists and two steals. Deandre Bembry tallied 15 points, 12 boards and two steals off the bench. Alex Len added 15 points and nine caroms as a reserve.
Rockets snap three-game skid
Houston secured a 117-108 home victory Wednesday night over Miami to improve to 12-6 overall and 7-2 at home. James Harden led the Rockets with 34 points on 9-of-22 shooting including 7-of-17 from 3-point distance plus 9-of-10 at the free throw line. He also recorded six rebounds and five assists. Russell Westbrook accounted for 27 points, nine boards, seven assists and two steals. Danuel House Jr. had 23 points, four caroms, two assists and two steals. Gary Clark added 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Houston led 66-42 at halftime en route to the win.

Prediction:
This is unfortunate scheduling for the Hawks. Not only did they expend a lot of energy Friday night battling back and eventually losing a heartbreaker in overtime at Indiana, but now they have to travel and play a well-rested Rockets team that has been able to stay at home the last few days. Considering the Rockets were blowing out a good Heat team, albeit without Jimmy Butler, until taking the foot off the gas pedal Wednesday I think it’s more of the same here. Look for a blowout as Harden should be able to have his way and I highly doubt we get another incredible performance from Young considering the fatigue factor.
