Horford dominates in Game 4
Boston power forward Al Horford had a stretch this winter where he looked a bit worn down as the 31-year-old saw his numbers go down for an extended stretch. But he has played at least 35 minutes in all but one of the playoff games and in the process shown he has plenty left in the tank. A 24-point outing in Game 1 over 44 minutes including the overtime session got him rolling, while in Tuesday’s Game 5 he had 22 points and 14 points over 38 minutes. He also contributed three assists and two blocked shots in the 92-87 win. Overall, he is averaging 18.2 points and 8.6 rebounds in the playoffs.
Middleton does best to keep Bucks in game
Milwaukee small forward Khris Middleton often gets overlooked by star teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo and for good reason since the latter is one of the best the NBA has to offer. But Middleton is capable of carrying the Bucks in any given game and he did his best late to keep his squad within striking distance, hitting two of his three 3-pointers in the last couple of minutes in Game 5. He finished with a team-best 23 points on 9-of-21 shooting, going 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He added three boards and two assists. Middleton is compiling averages of 25 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists while seeing 39 minutes per game in the postseason.
NBA Betting Trends
Boston
The Celtics are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
Milwaukee
The over is 11-1 in the last 12 Bucks games following a straight up loss. The over is 5-1 in the last six games in Milwaukee.
Prediction:
The over trend is solid here with both teams and 200 is low enough total to have my interest. While the last game fell well under that mark, the first four games in the series all went over and all totaled at least 206 points. Side with the over here and I’d say catch it early because my guess is it will be bet up a bit as the day progresses.
