According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Nets are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Cavs. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 221 points. The public betting for this game currently has 84 percent going on the Nets on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Nets slipping

The Brooklyn Nets are coming off a 127-125 loss at Toronto on Monday for their fifth loss in six games. Brooklyn is now 29-29 on the season, 12-16 on the road, 32-26 against the spread and 31-27 with the over.

The Nets are putting up 111.7 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45.1 percent. Defensively, the Nets are giving up 112.3 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 46.5 percent. D’Angelo Russell is leading the team with 20.0 points and 6.6 assists per game while Caris LeVert is adding 17.1 points per contest.

Cavs end losing streak

Cleveland is coming off a 107-104 win over the Knicks at home on Monday to snap a four-game losing streak. The Cavs are now 12-45 on the season, 7-21 at home, 25-31-1 against the spread and 28-28-1 with the over/under total.

The Cavs have struggled on offense this season, averaging just 102.3 points per game while shooting only 44 percent. Defensively, Cleveland is giving up 112.9 points per game while opponents shoot 49.2 percent against them. Jordan Clarkson is putting up 16.8 points per game to lead the team while Collin Sexton is adding 14.9 points per contest. Kevin Love is slowly getting worked back into the lineup. He played 16 minutes in the win over New York, putting up 14 points and pulling down nine rebounds.

NBA Betting Trends

Brooklyn

The Nets are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games and 20-9 ATS in their last 29 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Cleveland

The Cavs are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven conference games.

Prediction:

These two have split the first two meetings this season, with the road team winning and covering the spread in both. Cleveland hasn’t been able to score very consistently and the Cavs defense is a mess. That should allow the Nets to really put up a big total today. Brooklyn has scorers and I don’t see Cleveland being able to do much to stop them. The Cavs only snapped their losing streak by hosting the Knicks, who have lost 15 straight. I like Brooklyn to cruise past them tonight.

NBA Prediction: Brooklyn Nets -6.5
