Giannis Antetokounmpo set a new season high in 3-pointers with four makes from range, and of course went off otherwise with 29 points (7-of-12 FGs), nine rebounds, six assists, one block and one turnover in a 137-108 win over the Blazers. Giannis opened the game with three straight makes from downtown before the quarter was even halfway over, and he was one of the key reasons the Bucks ran away with this one. His 11-of-15 mark from the line was just a hair above his 72.2% season average, but that mark is still a drastic improvement upon his 68.5% clip from last season. Giannis is one of those guys like Nikola Jokic that rarely needs analysis, and while the Joker is basically a perfect fantasy player, Giannis isn’t too shabby himself.
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Tyronn Lue said after their win on Thursday that “we know Kawhi [Leonard] is probably not going to come back.” While it may have just been a slip of the tongue, Lue provided insight that could prove valuable to fantasy GMs that are still holding out hope. Assuming Lue was referring to Kawhi returning to the team this year from injury and not what team he’s playing for next season (he’s under contract until 2024), it’s safe to assume that if he returns, it’ll be much later in the season. They may try and get him some regular season reps before the postseason begins, but Lue didn’t seem confident in that during this interview. Lue did add that he hopes Kawhi can return this season. Bucks vs. Clippers NBA Betting Prediction
The Bucks are winless against the spread in their last four games versus the Clippers in L.A. and are just 2-5-1 against the number in the last eight meetings between these two teams overall. Milwaukee is also 1-4 against the spread in its last five road games, is 1-6 against the number in its last seven games playing the second game of a back-to-back and is 1-7 at the betting window in its last eight games coming off a win.
