Chicago Bulls DFS Spin
The Bulls will be without point guards Lonzo Ball and Coby White on Sunday against the Raptors. Chicago’s second-leading scorer, Zach LaVine, is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with a knee injury. The Bulls will likely have to rely on Demar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic to handle the scoring against the Raptors.
Chicago guard/forward Demar DeRozan has scored at least 17 points in 5 of the Bulls’ last 6 games. He poured in a season-high 46 points in Chicago’s 123-119 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday night. DeRozan should be motivated as he faces his former team, and you can likely pencil him in for 20 points.
If you need a center, consider Chicago’s Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic is third on the Bulls in points per game (16.4) and leads the team in rebounds per game (12.3). What’s more, Nikola Vucevic is averaging 1.8 made three-pointers per game while shooting a sizzling 40% from beyond the arc. He could be a nice value play for points, rebounds, and threes on Sunday.
Toronto Raptors DFS Spin
There are a few injury notes for Toronto in this contest. Raptors starting point guard Fred VanVleet has missed the past three games with a back injury. He’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bulls. Toronto’s leading scorer and rebounder Pascal Siakam is doubtful for Sunday’s game against Chicago, as he’s nursing a groin injury.
If you need a forward for your DFS lineup, consider Toronto’s O.G. Anunoby. Anunoby is averaging 15.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. But the real reason to start O.G. Anunoby is his defense. Anunoby is leading the NBA in steals per game with 3.1 and is even blocking 0.9 shots per game. He should be a nice value play with Pascal Siakam likely out of the lineup Sunday.
If you’re in need of three-pointers, consider using Raptors’ shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. Trent is averaging 3 made threes per game on 36% shooting from three-point land. He’s also averaging 19.1 points per game which is good for second on the club. He could get some more shot attempts if Fred VanVleet is once again sidelined on Sunday.
Bulls vs. Raptors NBA Betting Trends
Chicago is 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games following an outright loss.
Toronto is 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games following an outright loss.
Toronto is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Toronto is 43-18 ATS in their last 61 games after allowing 100 or more points in their previous game.
Bulls vs. Raptors NBA Prediction:
The Toronto Raptors rank in the top five in the NBA in average scoring margin, offensive efficiency, defensive efficiency, fast break points per game, rebound rate, and steals per defensive play. I know Toronto will be without Pascal Siakam and probably won’t have Fred VanVleet, but I think they’re a deep, well-coached group that should be able to overcome those losses. I’ll lay the points with the home team, the Raptors.
