Can Durant lead OKC over Pistons?
DETROIT, MI (TheSpread) – The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to get on track now that Kevin Durant is back in action. Can they get rolling tonight against the Detroit Pistons?
Oklahoma City is 6-13 on the season, 2-8 on the road and 9-9-1 against the spread. Detroit is 3-17 overall, 2-9 at home and 5-15 against the spread. The Thunder have won nine of their last 10 against the Pistons, but Detroit picked up a 96-89 road win this season on Nov. 14 when Oklahoma City was without both Durant and Russell Westbrook. The Pistons have covered in four of their last five against the Pistons.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Oklahoma City is the clear favorite on the road, as the Thunder are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the game has been set at 194 points.
The Thunder have now won three of their last four as they heal up, but have failed to cover in their last two. They have been favored in four straight, going 2-2 against the spread in those games. The Pistons have lost their last 10 and failed to cover in five straight. This is the third time in six games that they are an 8.5-point underdog at home. They are 1-1 ATS in the previous two.
