Toronto evened up the series at 1-1 with a 106-100 victory at home on Tuesday night. Despite the win, the Bucks covered the 8-point spread. Milwaukee has covered in three straight meetings with Toronto. Milwaukee is 43-41 overall, 23-18 at home and 38-46 against the spread. Toronto is 52-32 overall, 23-18 on the road and 45-38-1 against the spread.
Milwaukee didn’t quite shoot the ball as well as it did in Game 1, while the Raptors were strong from the field. Toronto was 37-of-77 from the floor and hit 14 3-pointers. DeMar DeRozan had 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the team while Kyle Lowry had 22 points and five assists. The Bucks were 36-of-87 from the field in the loss. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the team while Khris Middleton added 20 points.
I like the matchup in the frontcourt for the Bucks and with this game in Milwaukee, I think the Bucks will come away with the victory. Greg Monroe has been a great asset off the bench and the Greak Freak continues to find ways to score and create offense. If DeRozan and Lowry struggle, Toronto will have a tough time winning. I think one of these two won’t be their normal self in a big road game.
