According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Boston is favored at home in this game, as the Celtics are getting odds of -4 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 210 points.

The Celtics are now 28-22 on the season following a 97-89 win over the Knicks last night in New York for their sixth win in seven games. They face a Pistons team that is 26-23 and in the midst of a road trip. Detroit has dropped two of its last three games. These two have already met three times this season, with Detroit winning and covering in two of the three meetings, but the trends are strong with the Celtics tonight.

Typically playing back-to-back games isn’t a situation that is good for NBA teams, but the Celtics seem to thrive in this spot. Since 2014, Boston is a very impressive 22-6-1 against the spread when playing on no days rest. That cover percentage is best of any team in the NBA. This season, the Celtics are 7-4 ATS with no rest. Clearly coach Brad Stevens has found a formula to make his team strong while fatigued.
