Cavaliers guards Donovan Mitchell (nose) and Max Strus (knee) will both sit out Friday’s road tilt with the Timberwolves. The bigger loss of the two is Mitchell because he leads the team in scoring with 27.4 points per game this season. Mitchell will be re-evaluated in a week.
Cleveland forwards Evan Mobley (ankle) and Dean Wade (knee) will also both miss Friday’s contest. Mobley hasn’t played since March 5th but is averaging 15.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game across 38 starts this season. Wade is averaging 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game this year. Due to Mobley and Wade being out, Georges Niang and Marcus Morris Sr. should have increased roles on Friday.

Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards dislocated his left middle finger a few games ago, but it hasn’t kept him out of the lineup. He’s scored at least 30 points in 4 straight games and has been willing his team to victory with Karl-Anthony Towns out of the lineup for an extended period.
