Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves Public Betting Information

Our NBA Public Betting Information page indicates that 73% of public bettors are currently backing the Timberwolves when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Cleveland Cavaliers Daily Fantasy Spin

Cavaliers guards Donovan Mitchell (nose) and Max Strus (knee) will both sit out Friday’s road tilt with the Timberwolves. The bigger loss of the two is Mitchell because he leads the team in scoring with 27.4 points per game this season. Mitchell will be re-evaluated in a week.

Cleveland forwards Evan Mobley (ankle) and Dean Wade (knee) will also both miss Friday’s contest. Mobley hasn’t played since March 5th but is averaging 15.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game across 38 starts this season. Wade is averaging 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game this year. Due to Mobley and Wade being out, Georges Niang and Marcus Morris Sr. should have increased roles on Friday.

Minnesota Timberwolves Daily Fantasy Spin

Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns won’t play on Friday as he recovers from a left knee lateral meniscus tear that required surgery. Towns is second on the club in scoring with 22.1 points per game on the campaign.

Minnesota shooting guard Anthony Edwards (finger), center Rudy Gobert (ribs), and center Naz Reid (head) are all listed as questionable to play on Friday. Edwards leads the Timberwolves in scoring this season with 26.7 points per game while Gobert is the team’s top rebounder at 12.9 rebounds per game.

Cleveland is 7-11-1 ATS with the rest disadvantage this season.

Cleveland is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against Minnesota.

Minnesota is 12-7-1 ATS with the rest advantage this season.

Minnesota is 13-8 ATS after a loss this season.

Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves NBA Prediction:

Both of these teams will be shorthanded on Friday, and it’s worth checking the injury report all the way up to game time to see who’s in and who’s out. But the Cavs won’t have Donovan Mitchell for this contest, and he is their best player. Cleveland is 10-10 straight up without Mitchell this year, but just 4-7 straight up in their last 11 contests without the services of their All-Star guard.

Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards dislocated his left middle finger a few games ago, but it hasn’t kept him out of the lineup. He’s scored at least 30 points in 4 straight games and has been willing his team to victory with Karl-Anthony Towns out of the lineup for an extended period. The Timberwolves are a top-five team in the NBA, and I think they show why that is at home on Friday night. I’ll lay the points with Minnesota.

Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves Prediction: MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES -6
