Cleveland Cavs DFS Spin
Donovan Mitchell didn’t provide an encore on Wednesday as he only put up 20 points (6-for-20 FGs), six rebounds, nine assists, two steals and three triples in a 90-88 win over Phoenix. It wasn’t exactly 71 points again. In fact, Cleveland didn’t reach 71 points until almost halfway through the fourth quarter. It was an ugly game for both teams, but Mitchell still filled the stat sheet. Unfortunately, he wasn’t hitting shits the way he was against Chicago. Still, he was 20 assists over his last two games with Darius Garland dealing with a thumb sprain. If Garland remains sidelined, Mitchell should continue to post well-rounded numbers like he has all season, which is why he has provided first round value.
Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Michael Porter Jr. accounted for 18 points (6-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, one block, and four 3-pointers in Monday’s 124-111 loss to the Timberwolves.
Porter didn’t do too much outside the points and 3-pointers categories Monday night, but he shot the ball well from the field. For the season, he’s been a top-75 player in 9-cat formats, despite averaging 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. The points, rebounds, and 3-pointers have been good enough to keep MPJ at that level, but he’s talented enough to provide more. Denver will finish its week with a home back-to-back against the Clippers (Thursday) and Cavaliers (Friday).
